With Boot Camp you have to partition the hard drive, it's not that difficult as long as you follow the instructions, but there is a bit where it is very important that you install Windows XP onto the correct partition. If I recall correctly (but it was a while ago) the 'default' selected partition for Windows XP was the wrong one when I did it, but I can't 100% remember, but I do recall that care is needed.
