You haven't sketched any details about the nature of your hub problems. However, there's one fix that works most of the time: 1. With your machine on, pull all the data cables from your machine. All you have is your computer and your power. Reboot your machine. Reinsert all of your USB and Firewire devices. Why should this work?

And if I did find the file it is not clear which folder to drag it into, the directions say 'Drag this file into the installation folder Utility>Connect>contained_packages'. It installed correctly on my Macbook Pro, running OS X 10.4, two Windows 7 laptops and Windows XP, running on my iMac via Parallels. It would not run on the iMac 10.6.
Some good some bad Well good news and not so good news on my install of the Extreme 'N'. My 2 printers a Canon and an old HP were real troopers and my XP desktop and the 2 Blackbooks found them (via Bonjour) right away with no problem. The problem was the Maxtor external hard drive. It caused real problems when hooked via USB. Caused the extreme to loose connection. And finally when the blackbook found it.

However not having a useable video option makes this dock less than ideal. Rated 5 out of 5 by Carly from fall down in the last mile its a good device and it definitely does what it was promised to do, which is a good thing (so many things we buy - at a premium- this day don't) but if I had defined the thing I would have added 3 more things: 1. A bracket to mount it under a desk or a wall (no problem, me and my Wonderfull 3D printer are making one) 2. An SD card reader, I mean come on! If you are going to give us what Apple took away tat give it to us. A thunderbolt 2/1 connector (read the comment on number two) if the next version has the 3 or 2 missing items it will then be perfect.
